Chena Huts by Uga Escapes is a unique hotel set amongst the golden sand dunes and lush greenery of Yala. Designed specifically with the surroundings in mind, it borders the Yala National Park, Indian Ocean and a natural watering hole. There are only 14 luxury cabins set on 7 acres on land, ensuring that all customers have privacy and seclusion. Each cabin also has its own private pool. Due to its location, safaries in the Yala National Park are top of the activities list with experienced rangers present to guide you. It has such a diversity of landscapes from thorn forests to grasslands and marine wetlands. This gives a huge range of biodiversity with 44 different mammals and one of the highest leopard population densities in the world. Other species include fan throated lizards and crocodiles. There are also 215 species of bird present. On the water, reefs and shipwrecks are easily accessible and it is a congregation point for blue and humpback whales. The Basses Restaurant is a fine dining experience in the midst of this nature hotspot. Lastly if you need to relax after all of the activities, the hotel has one of the most luxurious spas in Sri Lanka. |
