Cliff Bay Hotel

Another renowned property on the island of Madeira is the Cliff Bay Hotel. Located in the Bay of Funchal, the hotel is situated on a cliff top location, with sub-tropical gardens and amazing views out over the Atlantic Ocean.

All of the rooms have views of the gardens, sea or Funchal itself but if you do want the sea view guaranteed then upgrade to the upper floor superior sea view rooms where you will also get complimentary soft drinks from the minibar and a la carte breakfast at Il Gallo D'oro.

The culinary options here are excellent from the Champagne Breakfast to the evening meals where you can choose from Blue Lagoon Snack Bar & Restaurant for salads and seafood, Rose Garden for buffet and Madeira's first 2 Michelin starred restaurant, Il Gallo D'oro. There are also cocktails and live music at Le Cliff Bar & Bistro.

There are also plenty of facilities at the hotel with an outdoor seawater poo, half indoor/half outdoor heated pool, spa, fitness centre, tennic courts and a free shuttle into the town centre several times a day.
