Lanzarote Temperature & Rainfall
LANZAROTE
The island of Cesar Manrique, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and the most northeasterly of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote has a unique feel to the place. Much of the interior of the island is covered in lunar like landscapes created by the volcanic fields of lava which ran across the island in the 1700s.
Nowadays, Lanzarote attracts tourists to its beach resorts at Puerto Del Carmen, Costa Teguise and Playa Blanca. The resorts are all very different with Puerto Del Carmen being the busiest and Playa Blanca the more relaxed.
The Timanfaya National Park, local markets in the town of Teguise and the Cesar Manrique foundation at Jameos Del Agua or the short ferry over to Fuerteventura provide interesting daytrips away from the beaches.
