Vietnam has three main airports, one in each of Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City. There are also international flights which go to the popular tourist areas of Nha Trang and Phu Quoc. You can fly directly from the UK to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi from London Heathrow. For any other destinations you will have to stop at least once. |

Vietnam Temperature & Rainfall
Vietnam experiences a diverse climate throughout the year, tending to be colder in the north and warmer in the south. It is important to take into account where you are staying as to what the weather will be like.
For popular destinations such as Hanoi and Halong Bay in the north, they are affected by northeast monsoons and are wettest in the summer months, especially July and August. Average temperatures here are 18 degrees Celsius in the winter (November to March) and 27 degrees Celsius in the summer (April to October). This graph below shows the average monthly temperature and rainfall for Ho Chi Minh City in the south. As you can see it is hotter and drier all year round than the north. Wherever you are looking to travel in Vietnam, we can advise the best time to go and what the weather will roughly be like.
