Gaya Island Resort
Set on a sparsely populated island opposite Kota Kinabalu, Gaya Island Resort offers guests a stay amongst nature where they can relax and discover the wonders of Gaya in equal measure.
Taking its name from the island it sits on, it is one of only three hotels on the island and is committed to ecologically sustainable practices so that it minimises its carbon footprint. It is encouraged that you walk around the resort and motorised vehicles are only used when necessary. The hotels buildings are perched above and along the beach. The accommodation is made up of villas. This small number of accommodations creates an intimate feel where you feel more connected with the nature around you and like you aren't staying at a hotel. |
The interior of the villas is sleek and modern, yet borrows from what surrounds it, with wooden accents and furnishings and local objects. There is plenty of windows and balconies where you can take in the views of your surroundings.
There are three restaurants at the hotel where the focus is Asian cuisine and freshly caught seafood. Feast Village offers an interactive experience for all times of the day, where there is an open kitchen so that you can see your food being prepared. Fisherman's Cove serves up the freshest seafood and Omakase offers three different Japanese dining experiences surrounded by ancient rainforest. There is also the pool bar and lounge for casual and lighter meals as well as Tavajun Bay, a private beach restaurant a 5-minute boat ride from the hotel. |
Gaya Island Resort encourages you to immerse yourself in the nature that surrounds the hotel with guided nature walks, visits to the Gaya Island Resort Marine Centre and snorkelling and diving programmes amongst others.
Wellness is key at the resort with the spa offering many treatments that use natural ingredients from across the island and borrow from the healing practices of the area. |

Chris and Caroline booked me a great trip to the Algarve which I just returned from. They responded quickly to my enquiry, talked me through the options and booked a stunning hotel with a great location. Ben Cheshire
The service was first class, professional and extremely efficient! Above all, it took all of the stress out of booking a trip and I ended up extremely well organised. Thanks to the team. |

I would not hesitate to recommend CT4N Travel. They have helped us book the perfect holiday in the past and helped us with advice and support when looking to book in these trying times for the industry. We much appreciated their knowledge and honest opinions. We will definitely be coming back as soon as we are able to book again.
