Morocco can give most Mediterranean countries a run for their money in the holiday lists. With stunning beaches on the Atlantic coastline, such as Agadir with its 6 miles of sand to one of the most sought after city breaks in Marrakech, Morocco certainly has plenty to offer.
Since starting mainstream tourism in the late 1990s, now more than 8 million tourists per year visit Morocco, looking for something more than just your standard beach holiday.
Agadir and Taghazout are both located on the Atlantic coast and the majority of tourists choose Agadir for their base. Taghazout is located 30 minutes up the coast and is a more laidback taste of Moroccan life in this up and coming fishing village.
Marrakech is one of the top choices for city breaks and right in the middle is Jemaa el-Fna square which holds the market place. It doesnt matter if you are shopping or not, it is still worth the visit just for the sights and smells.
